A Summer Bucket List of what we plan to do in the Arizona heat! Some activities include making ice cream, visit the zoo at night, and have an indoor picnic!
For the past few years, I’ve wanted to create a Summer Bucket list for my daughter and I but never followed through since she was a toddler. I finally feel like she is at an age where we can do things together, and she will enjoy and remember our experiences.
For those not familiar, living in Arizona is rough during the Summer since it’s consistently over a 110 degrees which means unless we are in the water we have to be inside. I compare our Summer to Winter. Instead of miserably cold we are miserably hot and sweaty. There are pros and cons to living in the desert, but the Summers here are a con.
As you will see most of our bucket list items are indoors but we have a few outdoor activities. So without further delay, here is our Summer Bucket List!
Composing this list has been fun, and I can’t wait for our family to share in some incredible Summer memories. A lot of the items on our list will be a first for my daughter such as bowling, miniature golf, and making ice cream. I haven’t made homemade ice cream since I was a kid so it will be fun to recreate memories from my childhood.
Last night, my daughter and I completed our first Summer Buck List, which was seeing a movie in the park. My husband has been sick, so this was the perfect mommy/daughter date. We watched Alvin in the Chipmunks, and it was a perfect night, and the movie was cute. Plus, we had some relief in the weather with cool night, a gentle breeze, and a little rain during the film. The most memorable moment of the evening was the sprinklers going off at the park. I may have felt different if we were one of the people who had gotten wet but it was a funny moment.
I’d love to know what is on your Summer Bucket List!
