Holy Moly, can you believe it’s September? It’s crazy how quickly the year has gone, but the Summer has flown by which does not upset me. Hopefully, I have only one more month of ridiculous hot weather in the desert. I’m ready for cooler weather and to enjoy the outdoors again!
August was a successful month for me. I’ve now been blogging for a little over three months, and it’s been a thrill! I haven’t been able to put the focus on my blog as I want, but it’s hard working full time, having a four-year-old, watching sports, and having a life. My daughter started Pre-K at the beginning of the month, and it’s been incredible to see her grow in these few short weeks. Soon she will begin her soccer career; mommy wants a world cup trophy and an Olympic gold medal!
Anyone, who tells you having a blog is easy is clearly doing it for fun and not trying to make it big in life. It’s a lot of work from writing posts, to editing, creating images, pinning images, tweeting, Instagramming, Facebooking, and share your content, it’s downright exhausting! However, I had some wins this month, and I’m excited to share them.
The first is I made some money! That’s right; I earned a few bucks having a blog, nothing to write home about but I will take it, and I’m so proud of myself. I wanted to prove to myself I could do this and I can.
Second of all, one of my best friends reached out to me about creating a blog. Initially, I thought, I can’t help, but once we started talking, I began spouting information about having a blog and it’s made me realize I’ve learned a lot in these first few months. At times, I feel overwhelmed by everything talking with her reassured me about my blogging life. I thought about creating an article “Starting a blog for the lazy person” but to be completely honest, I’m too lazy to put effort into that article. So, feel free to steal this idea.
The month ended with my 33rd birthday and a trip to San Diego to visit my family, friends, and to see Dave Matthews Band. By the way, if you want your mind blown, you need to see Dave Matthews in concert. His voice with the band’s instrumentals is incredible..
For September, I hope for more visitors and plan to publish more articles on food, traveling, and quitting sugar which I suck at doing! Thanks, to my regular visitors, to the people visiting for the first time, and anyone who has every commented or liked an article. I truly am thankful and appreciative!
Below are my Top 5 posts of August! My Chicken Teriyaki in the crockpot recipe went viral, and I don’t mean viral like millions saw it, but hundreds of people saw it, so I consider it a “Win” for me.
Cheers to a successful and sexy September!
